Darren and Whitney and the big NEWS!

    Darren and Whitney were not a real couple. She was the first one he was with after his break up with Cheyenne. They would hook up a lot and have dinner and hook up again. But about a month ago he just told her he wanted to be on his own. The thing is he went right to another girl, Katya. But Katya is not one for being in a relationship and she quickly dropped him like a hot potato. Rumors have it she was messing around with Issac the other night. Jenna's ex boyfriend! But lets see what's happening in Ash Harbor.

Carla Whitney and Gwen are all talking this afternoon in the coffee shop there is nobody in there and it's nice and quiet Whitney has a huge secret that she's thinking that she's holding from both of the girls she doesn't know how to tell them that she thinks she's pregnant with Darren's baby she is not for sure but she is late by 6 days maybe it's her nerves. 

Whitney: guys, I'm nervous I am late.
Gwen: wait what
Carla: Whitney that's oh noooo
Whitney: tell me about it my brother would be furious.
Carla: well are you sure sweetie sometimes when were nervous or something even upset it can throw it off.
Whitney puts her head down
Whitney: I'm 6 days late!

Gwen: Giiiiiiirrrrl well who's would or could it be?
Whitney: well last person I slept with was Darren and well as you know we have stopped seeing one another he claims he wants to be single and no attachment. 
(Meanwhile both girls knows that's wrong they know he's been messing with Katya.)
Carla: well have you gotten a test?
Whitney: no I'm so affraid everyone knows my brother or will be front page news if they see me at the Ash Harbor Drug store buying an EPT test!!

Before the girls could speak another word. He appeared. Darren!!! Whitney was like a deer in head lights. Gwen quickly moved to the back counter.
Carla: hey Darren ( she said a little nervous)
Darren: hey Carla, (then his eyes shifted ) hey Whitney.
Whitney:(she looked at him very nervously) hi.
Carla: dark coffee house blend the usual?
Darren: yes please. Quite in here no one in here tonight.
Carla: oh yea Wednesday nights are usually a slow time.
Darren: ahhh got ya.

Carla: well here is your chance nobody here. You should talk to him
Whitney: what do I say Darren I'm pregnant I just ugh I don't know what the heck to do!!!
Carla: you should just talk to him!
Whitney: I don't know I .... I can't!
Carla: well what will you do if you are. He needs to know!

It's Friday morning and almost time for the weekend. The early rush has come thru already and it's quite.
Carla: sooo Whitney have you gotten the test hunny?
Whitney: no I just.... ugh I don't know what to do.
Carla: well first of all you have to narrow things down. So by getting a test that would be a good thing.
Whitney: I know I just I guess a selfish part of me wouldnt mind if I was pregnant, but then I know it wouldn't work and he probably wouldn't even be with me to begin with.
Carla: you sure it would be his?
Whitney: yes Carla geezer.
Carla: well I know you and Val well....
Whitney: ha yea that was a joke as you can see he's crazy about Natalie. And him and I we well I'd love to have been with him but I didn't fit in his world really well.
Carla: well look in a little while why don't you go to the store and get a test or we can run over to the clinic Gwen will be here soon! We will have her hold down the fort and go?

Whitney: Ok, thats fine I need to get this over with my stomach is so upset!

~*~* Gwen comes in for a bit and runs the coffee shop while Carla takes Whitney to the clinic. They return in 2 hours.~*~*~*

They come back and come out to the counter and as they both look at the table they realize that Darren was in the coffee shop.

Whitney: just who I wanna see ugh!
Carla: why don't you go talk to him? It's quite in here just go over and talk. I'm here for you.
Whitney: ugh ok.... Carla: you got this sweetie. 

Whitney: I need to talk to you.
Darren: sure.... sit-down
Whitney can feel her heart thumping her stomach so many knots she's so not ready for this.

Darren: what's up? How you been?
Whitney: oh good, ha same old same old.
Darren: yea me too busy working alot and just ready for a break.
Whitney: you get time off soon?
Darren: yea the end of September I'm going to do some fishing and traveling.

Darren could tell Whitney wanted to say something but she wouldn't really come out and say it.
Darren: look, I'm sorry for pushing you aside.
Whitney looked up she wasn't sure where this was going .
Whitney: it's fine we are two different people in a different world.
Darren: Katya isn't returning my calls and I found out she slept with Issac the other night.
Whitney: wait Issac? Jenna's ex?
Darren: ha yea, we work together and someone who we mutually work with told me.
Whitney: shes... just pathetic
Darren: well I must be too
Cause I didn't know better and wasn't thinking with my right head.

Whitney: umm look I don't know how to say this.
Darren: what?
Whitney: I went to the clinic today and I'm I'm pregnant Darren.
He looked at her he wasn't sure if he should run or if she was fooling him.

Darren's heart was beating fast he could see the tears in her eyes.
Darren - umm ... wow uhhhh are you sure?
Whitney: yes I'm 7 weeks so it's not far along but.. I'm pregnant and yes it's yours.
Darren sat in shock for a moment he cared about Whitney and she was a very sweet person he just didn't realize that this would all happen. He went from sleeping with Cheyenne and then her dumping him and then Whitney came into his life and then Katya and he just didn't think it would all play like this.
Darren: whew this is ummm wow. Look Whit I like you alot and I will be there ok I'll do whatever I need to. I know that were not together but look this child will have love!!!!

Whitney couldn't believe he's actually being ok with this!
Darren: who knows?
Whitney: right now just Carla she was the one who went with me. Gwen watched the shop earlier and we went.
Darren: why didn't you call me I would have went.
Whitney: because I figured this would make you all so angry being I'm not the one you want.
Darren: ah that's not true Whitney I never gave you a chance
Whitney: well look I will let you know when appointments come up and such. I now need to some how break this to my brother.
Darren: oh shit, Noah is going to be furious.
Whitney: well oh well I'm keeping the baby.
Darren was so happy to hear she was keeping the baby. She was a sweet person and she was very caring she will be a great mom .

Darren hugged Whitney and told her it would be ok they would do this together. 

Whitney: I am sorry for the tears

Darren: Don't be sorry, look I have to get back to work. I will call you tonight I promise!!! 

He kissed her cheek and he was gone.....
