Josh can't decide Part 2

Josh left from Kat's loft is fast as he strolled in. His heart was racing and his face was flush. He couldn't breath and he felt his world closing in on him. Kat was such a beautiful creature and he always dreamed of what it would feel like to have her in his arms again. To smell her, kiss her and touch her. But now something had changed. His emotions and feelings changed.

Standing there holding his self up against the brick he closed his eyes. He envisioned a beautiful Eden laying on a bed in a white dress. She had those intriguing eyes on him. 

He raised his hand out to touch her even tho his mind was whisked away in a fantasy. His eyes flew open. He walked back to his apartment about 2 blocks over. 

 
When he got home he grabbed a beer and collapsed on the couch.

 He couldn't take it no more he pulled his phone out. 32 emails which were all work related and 1 voicemail from his mother. Nothing from Eden but he knew she would be gone another day. He opened it to her txt and he sent her a message.

                       Hey beautiful... hope your having fun. I hope when you come back I can see you..

Josh then sat back and blew a breath of air. He felt horrible leaving Kat the way he did but he just couldn't go thru with sleeping with her. And then his phone buzzes. It was Eden.


              Hey you so glad you texted, I am having fun but I really wanna see you again. 

Josh smiled, his heart was at ease he felt free for the first time in a long time. This girl was changing his whole outcome. He quickly responded 

 Yea you really wanna see me again? Well good how about when you come back I cook dinner for you. My treat?


It didn't take her long to respond and his eyes were smiling again.

                       I would like that. I am about to fall asleep I will text you tomorrow ;-)

          Sleep tight beautiful ;-)

Josh was wearing the smirk on his face while he laid back and passed out. Work would be in the morning and the 4:30 wake up call would be knocking before he knew it. While he laid there he thought of how sweet it would feel having Eden in his arms. Her beautiful brunette hair the way it was just laying on his skin. The way it flowed in the wind the other day. He loved the way her lips were perfect pink and plump. He wanted to kiss them touch them and devour them like his life depended on it.

Once he dozed off to sleep it felt like 20 mins and the alarm on his phone was buzzing. He got up and headed to the shower. He washed his body fast then his hair.

 He let the water just fall over him. He wished he was in the shower with Eden. It didn't take him long and he was harder then a rock. Fuck he thought what is wrong with me. This woman is just consuming my brain.

Moments later he is dressed ready to go. He had to focus on this case. So he headed in to work. 



 He got to the station when he was met instantly with Kat. She looked at him with pain in her eyes and turned quickly. His eyes just looked away he swallowed and got down to work. 

He reviewed the files that Joe left for him on his desk. He wanted to get this case cracked and Kat and him both were working on it. He figured with what took place last night she would't even speak to him. But he knew this was work and it had to be done. As Kat came by he called to her.

                               Josh- Kat can you come in a minute?


Kat came in and didn't even wanna stare at him. She was angry and confused and uncomfortable. 

Josh-  Listen I need to see if we can go back to the little mart and talk to the owner and see if we can obtain a video of that night.

Kat- ok, I can do that...

Josh- that's fine we can go I wanna chat with him too.

Kat- yep

Josh knew she was upset. She looked really hurt and he knew he had to explain himself being they needed to work together and be involved with this case. 

Josh- look Kat, I am sorry...
Kat- oh you sorry?
Josh- I am , I ... I know I hurt you and leaving you really upset. 
Kat- well being your were all over me the other day and then ran out last night I am really hurt and confused. 

Josh- I know, I am sorry I just ...... (he took a small step back) I don't think its the right idea.
Kat- WHAT THE HELL JOSH. We never had a problem before. All of a sudden you don't care for me.
Josh- No I care for you I just..... I am not sure I wanna walk this same path again. I thought I was in love with you but I am not.... I don't think I can replay history. A lot has took place since you left Kat.
Kat- so , you tell me you want me again and then poof you change your mind? Josh you really don't have your mind straight. Look why don't you ask Dom or someone else to help with this because I am no longer helping with it. 

Then she stormed out.. Leaving Josh to feel like he was a criminal. He cared about her and wanted the best but what they once had was now just ashes in the wind. He took a big breath and then decided to head to the little mart by himself get to the bottom of the case.

Sorry for this being so short. I am a sub teacher at a charter school and had such a busy week. I will be catching yall up this week with Josh and Eden. Also stay tuned for more stories!
