Chris Never Learns Part 2

Its been a week since Chris and Miranda hooked up again. He enjoyed her company, and even her. She was not like some of his other hook ups. But, Chris still had a hard time thinking about commitment. He spent his Saturday roaming the Ranch. The normal duties were taken care of and nothing much was going on. His mind raced like a wild stallion in the middle of a daisy field. As much as he enjoyed Miranda, he was sure it wouldn't last. They were two different people. He liked to be free, nothing holding him back. She wanted a man and hell even a husband.

Chris walked along the tree branches up to a particular tree that was his favorite. It was an enormous tree that blew over about 7 years ago. He doesn't get much time to come out this way and just sit and think. Last time he remembered being here was about 3 years ago. Allison Daniels his girlfriend and the one he actually was madly in love with left. It was the end of the summer. She went to visit her Aunt Ruth up north. Allison decided to pursue the rest of her schooling for vetinarian and she told Chris she wasn't returning. That what they had was great but, they had been going in two different directions. The calls stopped. No mail or visits. Crushed Chris pretty bad. That may explain why he can't seem to commit, even when there is a decent and respectful girl after him.

Chris had sat on this tree for days after this took place. Thinking, and wondering how to win her back. Eventually everyone encouraged him to pick himself up by his boot strings and move forward.

Instead of staying here all day sulking and reminiscing he grabbed his keys and headed down to Baked with Love.

It was a typical Saturday afternoon in the café! Everyone loves to get a cup of coffee or sweet treat at Baked with Love. Carla was waiting on a beautiful brunette at the counter when Chris came strolling in. He didn't realize till he got close enough that the girl was Allison. His heart began to beat like a Congo drum. He even felt a little sweat on his head. What was she doing here? How come she's back in Ash Harbor? Did something happen with a family member?

Allison turned to leave with her fancy coffee and her eyes met with his. She curled her lip into a small smile.

                    Allison- Heyy, Chris......

                 Chris- wha.. what are you doing here?

               Allison- I am back. I got a job at  Ash Harbor Vet Hospital in the middle of town.

Chris was stunned to see her again. She was as beautiful if not more then the day she left. He wanted to pick her up and kiss her, hold her, and never let her go. But, that would be very weird and he knew that it would cause a problem. Their chemistry was always igniting.

Chris- Wow, that's awesome good for you.

Allison- yeah, thank you. Say what are you doing in Ash Harbor.

Chris- oh just decided to get a cup of coffee may go visit a friend in town.

Allison- Oh, ok...

Allison assumed a friend was a new lady. Chris was always so handsome and charming, she figured there was no way he was single still!

Chris- you look good.

Allison- thank you so do you.

The two continued this awkward back in forth for a few more moments. Allison wanted to say sorry. Fall into his arms and everything go back to the way it was three years ago. But, you can't erase the past. His eyes always was her favorite. They pierced her and at this moment standing there she felt like a puddle melting.

She looked down  fiddling with her coffee cup, hoping somehow she could wish these feelings away. But, it was no use because she still cared about him. Seeing him here in the flesh now made it even worse. 

When she looked up into his eyes she smiled. He was smiling.

Chris- so umm... well

Chris was tongue tied and he was to the point of not being able to talk. The love of his life just walked back into it.

Allison needed to get going, she was meeting the head vet at the office to go over some things. She slipped on her sunglasses and  placed her right hand on his chest. She couldn't help herself. And, that new tattoo he had made her feel a warm sensation happening between her legs.  Looking at him with sexy pink kissable lips Chris missed those magical fingers. God dammit that woman was so fucking beautiful & the thought of her here back in Ash Harbor was driving Chris crazy. He knew a way to get over this , he was going to go drink with guys down at the Odyssey tonight.

DOWN AT THE ODYSSEY

Later that evening down at the Odyssey it was somewhat early and not many people had filtered in. Zoey one of the local yoga instructors was having some dinner with her friend Alicia. The food and drinks were the best here!

Chris's buddies had been standing at the bar drinking. He walked up and ordered his usual.

Chris- what up man!

Cole- nothing man how about you?

Chris- nothing ready to get my drink on... its been a day.

Chris- Where is Shades?

Cole- oh.. he will be here soon..

Chris could tell Cole's eyes had been glued to something across the bar. Must have been a knock out of a girl.

Chris- why don't you go over and talk to her ( He joked)

Chris turned around to see what Cole was looking at. When he did he about died. It was ALLISON!

Chris- Shut the fuck up you fuck face.... she's off limits.

Cole laughed like hell at Chris

Allison- hey, I didn't know you came here.

Chris- yeah I met some of my buddies here.

Allison- this is a nice place. I was talking with the owner Natalie. I love the vibe.

Chris- yeah its a cool place. Great beer.

Allison- I agree, so who is that guy your with, he kept eyeing me

Chris- oh him? That's Cole, don't pay him any mind. Been along time since he's gotten laid.

Allison laughed and snorted a little.

Chris looked into her eye. She was the one and only who could call him that. It felt fucking awesome to here that again.

Chris- you called me Christopher.

Allison stopped laughing and looked up. He moved in a little closer and she felt shaky but in a good way.

Allison- I. I am sorry it slipped.

Chris- no, don't apologize. I liked it.

The two stared at one another. Allison moving in a little closer. She played with the buttons a little on his shirt.

Chris- I miss you Alli

Allison- you called me Alli, I missed that so much.

Chris- I missed you.

Allison- I missed those hands.

Some time went by and the two had the corner to themselves. Giggling and flirting like old times. Chris had drank quite a bit. Allison not as much as Chris but she still she felt good and buzzed.
