This is a sweet little romance

The sun was setting on another  Sunday evening. Chris and Stephanie had just finished  dinner with his mother, father and Stephanie's family. Since her twin sister started seeing Andrew, who was pretty close with Chris's family, they all joined in a big feast and made it a ritual on Sunday's. After the meal was done, Chris whisked Stephanie away for a little drive out in the fields. Little did she know, that the rest of the family would be out there soon!!!

Stephanie- What a nice evening..

Chris-  it sure is baby..

Chris was so nervous, his knuckles were white from gripping the wheel so tightly. He was about to ask Stephanie the most important thing he has ever asked someone. He prayed like hell she would say the right word!

Across the field, by the barn. Chris and  Stephanie's family stood, waiting with such excitement. Chris was going to ask her to marry him! Stephanie's father passed away long time ago so he made sure to ask Karen for her daughters hand in marriage. John, Chris's mother and father absolutely adore Stephanie and were so happy to hear that they were gaining a daughter in law. She was not only a blessing to their son but, to them as well.

Pamela (Chris's mother)- I'm on pins and needles this is so exciting to see these two so in love.

Karen- what a special moment for both of them. My daughter just loves your son. She has never had the stars in her eyes as she does with him!

John- your daughter is truly a godsend.

The two stopped in the middle near the shade. A place they often stopped and enjoyed watching the horses come up from the pasture. Thinking back about this year, it had been the best year of  Chris's life. He never imagined he would be asking this beautiful woman to be his wife!

As they sat on the hood of the jeep, he kept stealing glances at her beautiful face. His heart was beating out of his chest  practically and his hands were turning into puddles from sweat. Knowing he couldn't wait any longer to ask her, he slid off the hood and faced her.

Stephanie- What are you doing silly.

Chris- looking at the most beautiful woman on the earth.

Stephanie- awww you trying to get lucky out here Mister? You know what happened the last time the horses had been watching.

She smirked at him knowing they both have enjoyed a little fun out in the field a time or two.

Chris- haha, yeah.... Duke and Midnight had quite the show. But, uh... no I got something else on my mind.

Stephanie- what is it babe?

Chris took her hand in his, and her heart began to race. She wasn't sure what was about to take place. It was beautiful the sun was setting behind them and the sun shined on his face just so.  Everything was more then what she could imagine. The man in front of her was everything she ever dreamed of.

Chris- Stephanie Rodriguez, you have been the best thing that has ever happened to me. I couldn't live my life without you, it would be impossible. From the time I met you when you spilled coffee on me haha in the coffee shop to now. You are the definition of a perfect woman to me.

Slipping his hand down in his pocket he pulled out the ring. It shined perfect in the sun light.

Stephanie could feel her hands begin to tremble and the tears were already surfacing.

Gasping down at the ring in his fingers, she knew now why he was expressing himself in the way he was. The words he spoke were sweet and she could feel all his love surrounding her like a fleece blanket.

Chris- So, what I'm trying to say is, will you Stephanie, Marry Me?

Without any hesitation through her joyous tears said...

Stephanie- YES!! Oh yes I will marry you Chris.

He slipped the ring on her finger and his heart felt like it was fully whole now. The woman of his dreams would now become his wife.

No longer being able to keep her lips off of his, she pulled him in and they both crashed into a passionate kiss. Pulling her in tighter against his chest. She could feel his heart pounding against her breasts. It felt so good holding her now fiancé close. The way he looked at her was unlike the way he ever looked at anyone.

As Chris pulled his lips away, he stared down in to Stephanie's eyes. Every time he looked at her, his heart skipped a beat. He was never one to believe in miracles but, god really did bless him when he walked into that coffee shop that day. It was like she was there in that moment, just for him.

Chris- I love you so much

Stephanie- I love you so much Chris.

Looking back to get a better look at her ring, she just smiled and another small tear trickled out. In her life she had a lot of amazing things happen to her. Winning awards for movies she was in and getting to do things and see things all over the world. But, truth was that this was way better then anything she could even imagine.

Stephanie- its so beautiful baby, I'm speechless.

Chris- its been so hard keeping this from you. I just wanted the perfect time to ask you.

Stephanie- your perfect.

Closing his eyes he breathed in her scent.

The two held one another close. Stealing kisses and keeping constant smiles on their faces.

Stephanie- I cant wait to show your mom and my mom, and oh my god my sister!

Chris- well how about you tell them.

Before she could get it out of her mouth she heard hooting and hollering and clapping. Turning she saw everyone coming up to meet them!

Both Stephanie and Chris's family were so excited. They knew that these two had been in love from the start.

Pamela and John couldn't stop smiling at their son.

John- well son, you finally got your dream girl.

Pamela- I'm so excited for you guys. She is such a special girl and we are so happy to have her apart of the family.

Chris- thanks Mom and Dad, she really is special. I love her.

John- Son, your an excellent man and I know you will make her happy. She is very lucky to have you.

Chris turned and saw tears rolling down his mother's cheeks.

Chris- oh mom what's the matter?

Pamela- oh, nothing hunny. Just so proud of the man you have become. Your fulfilling your dreams. I was always worried you wouldn't find a good enough woman but, you have. She is better then I could ask for. I love her as much as I love you and your sister.

Chris- thanks mom. I know I wish Adrienne was here.

Pamela- she will be coming in a few days. We just talked to her a moment ago and she is so happy for you two.

Karenna, Stephanie's twin sister was so excited for her. The two cried and hugged.

Karenna- I am so happy for you and Chris. And girl that ring is gorgeous.

Stephanie- I know its beautiful... Its a shame your not getting married too.

Karenna- I know remember we told mom we wanted to get married together and have matching wedding dresses when we were little.

Stephanie- oh how could I forget!

Karenna- I am so glad its Chris, he is so good for you!

Stephanie- he really is.

Karen, came over to congratulate her new soon to be son in law.

Chris- hey Ms. Karen

Karen- oh sweetie, please call me mom! I am so happy for you.

Chris- I love your daughter so much, I want you to know that. I will do everything I can to make her happy.

Karen- I know you do, and I see it every time I see the two of you together.

The sun now was fading away on this beautiful evening. Chris and Stephanie took pictures enjoying the love that everyone was giving them. They wanna thank each and everyone for joining in their happiness today!
